Maun Refuge is a Mansfield based charity that supports refugees to settle into the community. Having worked with Syrian refugees, we now want to extend our work to more people and grow our small team. We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic and well-organised person to coordinate our programme as it develops. We are recruiting for a two-year part-time post as Coordinator at a salary of £30,000 pro rata. The post-holder will continue ongoing welcome work while extending our remit to meet the needs of other refugees including asylum seekers. The contract would be fixed term for the lifetime of the funding period, which is to December 2025. This is an opportunity for a highly motivated person with skills and experience working with people to apply their approach to working with refugees and asylum seekers in Mansfield. Experience and knowledge of refugee issues is less important than a commitment to offering people support and respect and to work on relationships with our beneficiaries and the Mansfield community. Information added 25th January 2024: please note that the post-holder will need to do regular face to face work in Mansfield. Applicants should have the right to live and work in the UK. NOW CLOSED TO APPLICATIONS The deadline for applications was 9am on Monday 5th February 2024 and interviews are anticipated to be on Wednesday February 14th. Job description and application forms
